School Meals
The school has a 4 week menu cycle for school meals as part of the national 'Hungry for Success' initiative funded by the Scottish Executive. This aims to improve nutritional standards, increase uptake and reduce stigma of free school meals. Meals are offered each day as a coloured tray (red, blue or green tray) from a set weekly menu.
All our recipes have been nutritionally analyses to provide healthy well balanced meals and an exciting varied choice. We also provide a healthy range of pack lunches.
Paying for school meals
All meals are offered at a set price together with a drink, freely available salad and home baked bread. We ask that all school meals are paid for by cheque on Monday mornings.
Selecting school meals
Children select which tray (red, blue or green) they wish to have each day. However, some parents prefer to hand in a weekly note regarding tray selection to the school office. If parents choose to do so, please hand this in on Monday mornings at the time of payment.
Please also ensure your children know which tray you have ordered each day to avoid confusion during our busy lunch hour.
